The second edition of Reliance Mobile Vijay Awards started off with a big bang and the excitement has increased double-fold. The Rasigan Express (publicity vehicle) which travelled to major parts of the state is now back receiving an overwhelming response.

The year 2007, saw some great cinema in Tamil filmdom, most of the 107 films which were released during the year proved to be worthy in their own right. So, now the competition for the awards is tough. In the curtain raiser episode of Vijay Awards which airs on April 6^th at 2pm, young actors Bharath, Vishal, and director Perarasu visit the sets and discuss on topics related to hero-worship, fanfare and their personal rendezvous with some of their fans. Some die hard fans are present on the sets who talk about how their icons have been a source of inspiration in their life and their influence on life in a large way. Yuhi Sethu, one of the jury members of the show talks about the origin of fanfare since the times of Sivaji and MGR. 

For the first time, actors Bharath and Vishal will converse on various aspects about fans and the survival of fan clubs. Along with them Director Perarsu will discuss about creating commercial films where heroes are given larger than life image which results in gaining more fans' following.

On the very same day, the nominees for the four Favorite categories - Hero, Heroine, Film and Director will be announced. Viewers will get a chance to cast their vote for their favorite star.

Favorite Hero, TVS Flame Favorite Heroine, Reliance Mobile Favorite Film and Favorite Director will be selected by the public and the voting for the Favorite categories will be available on SMS, IVR and online from April 06, 2008, 3pm onwards.

Reliance Mobile subscribers can call 51234 and say "VIJAY AWARDS".

Other mobile subscribers can just type "VA" and SMS to 57827. Viewers can also log onto www.vijaywards.in and cast their vote for their favorite category.

Voting lines will be open from April 06, 2008, 3pm to April 17, 2008 10pm.
